Bushings used in the joint areas of a hydraulic excavator are subject to exceptionally high surface pressures and offset loads. They need to be very strong. The induction hardened steel bushings of the past, however, required frequent greasing in order to prevent them from seizing. We developed these self-lubricating bushings in order to make this troublesome maintenance a thing of the past.
